Our Mission:

Founded in 2007, S.P.I.R.I.T. is an ever-growing team of dedicated paranormal researchers operating in and around the St. Louis, Missouri area. The team was put together as a collection of individuals who were not satisfied with modern science's answers (or lack thereof) about people's paranormal experiences. We follow a scientific approach to our investigations, utilizing some of the latest techniques in digital imaging and audio analysis.

We had a great time investigating the Mineral Springs Hotel with everyone who was able to attend the event last night. Hopefully everyone else who came had fun as well. We are going to start going through the evidence from the investigation and posting things to the website as we find them. There should be a page up specifically for the investigation within the next few days. Additionally, if anyone else captured any evidence that they would like to share with us, by all means, please send it to us so we can include it on the investigation's website as well. We are pleased to announce a unique arrangement we have set up with the Mineral Springs Hotel in Alton, IL. On Saturday, March 27th, we will be hosting an event at the hotel open to the public. Starting at 7PM, we will have a meet and greet with attendees, have a short explanation of our investigation procedures and equipment, and share evidence from previous investigations. This will be followed by an investigation of the hotel led by members of our team. Admission is 25.00 per person with all proceeds going towards the restoration of the hotel. We completed our successful investigation of the Scottish Rite Cathedral this past Saturday and are happy to begin posting some of our results. You can follow the updates on the investigation page. As always, we will be adding new evidence as we come across it.

Well, it has been a while since we've updated the website, but we did not fade away. Some of us who had been doing this constantly for almost two years decided that we needed a little break for a while, but we will soon be back with a new investigation (details further down in this post).

That point leads me to my next point - we've been around for just over two years now! July 11th was the two year anniversary of our first investigation of Zombie Road. Congratulations to us - when all of us started this, I'm not sure we ever expected it to go this far.

For those who are counting - that was 20 months and 32 investigations. I'd say we earned a little break.

As a last piece of follow up to our Hogan Mansion investigation, we have some corresponding video evidence posted on the investigation page that further enhances the strange anomalous voices that we heard during that investigation. Check out the video, its a great compilation put together by John.

And for our big news - our next investigation is set for August 22nd at the Scottish Rite Masonic Cathedral in St. Louis.

This massive old structure has been home to stories of everything from strange sounds and voices to multiple reports of full-bodied apparitions. We hope to experience it for ourselves in a little over a month.

Last night we investigated the former mansion of St. Louis gangster Jellyroll Hogan. There had been a lot of activity reported by the current owner and he contacted us to see if we could come in a make some sense out of what was going on. We are the first paranormal investigation group to examine this site, and it certainly seems like something is going on there. There were definitely some interesting experiences that happened that night, check out the investigation page for more information.

Also, we are officially closing our previous investigation - the second Mineral Springs Hotel trip. We had some evidence that took a while to get through, but everything has been covered and we can now call it quits for this investigation.

We investigated the Mineral Springs Hotel in Alton this past Saturday for the second time, and again it did not disappoint. Some of our preliminary findings as well a a preliminary summary of activity has been posted, and we will surely have to more to post as we continue to review evidence and compile data.
